200th Anniversary!

April 2017 marks an amazing 200th Anniversary.
Can you guess who or what?

The American School for the Deaf- that's who!

And with the creation of the first school for the Deaf in America- AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE was born! (Is anyone else geeking out about this like me?)

I am so excited to help celebrate ASL birthday!

2017 is going to be a fun year, especially if you live near the ASD in West Hartford Connecticut. They are planning some amazing and fun events! Even though I live on the opposite side of the county- I am hoping to take a trip and be apart of some of the festivities.

As I have studied the history behind the establishing of the ASD, I have been so inspired. Inspired to action. To take dreams and ideas and turn them into realities. For that is what Mason Cogswell and Thomas Gallaudet did. They took an idea of starting a school for the Deaf and worked to make it a reality.

So in the same spirit - I have decided to take steps in turning some of my ideas into reality- by publishing some stories and projects I have been working on for the last 5 years.

Is there something you have been thinking about?
A wish you have been day dreaming of?

Start making plans to make those come true in 2017!
